Filming Stage 3

Filming is continued at the clubhouse for a short time. Today we were not in the lesson as we continued to improve our filming. There was no possible way of me getting to the clubhouse so George and Ryan did the shots that we did not need me for and at the weekend we will continue further. They filmed shots such as me walking up the stairs. On Saturday, we intend to film we can try and perfect the 360 degree shot.

This is what was filmed:

Beginning of plans for web page

We have also begun some basic plans for the web page and came up with a band name after much deliberation. Colours and font was devised for the magazine advert and the web page.

Ryan is taking responsibility for the web page as he is the most experienced of us all to do such a thing. As a group we deliberated on how the web page should appear and also the colour scheme.

Colour scheme: Black, red, white, grey (mainly dull shades). Brighter colours may be used for text.

The actual Kasabian web page:

Coming up with the band name proved to be quite a challenge! After trawling through countless comical names we agreed upon 'The Bambinos' as it was wasting too much time.

Then we went on to find a suitable font which is appropriate to the image we want to portray. We used DaFont.com to find the right one. Here is a link to the font:

More Inspiration

Here are some images of not only Kasabian advertisements but also of Arctic Monkeys and Beady Eye who are in the same genre of music therefore there adverts have that similar vibe:
Arctic Monkeys - When the Sun Goes Down

Kasabian - Underdog

Kasabian - Club Foot

All of these adverts advertise only one individual song, which is perfect for what we are planning to do. We can take heed of how the art style is usually relevant to the song itself, and the kind of content involved in the adverts. Generally Kasabian are very artistic and varied in the style they have on different songs or albums, so this is another thing to take note of.

Planning Ancillary Task

In todays lesson we began to plan our ancillery task for our music video featuring the song 'Underdog' by Kasabian. We have chosen to go with the Internet Web Page and the full page magazine advert. Ryan has taken the liberty to produce the web page with our in-put, however today we focussed purely on planning the magazine advert. George found a suitable advert of Kasabian's upcoming tour:

We can use this full double page spread for inspiration, even though we are doing one page, it is still useful. We came up with a mock example of how our magazine spread would be set out across the page. As an idea for the main image of the advert we thought that using an image of the main protagonist in the video, would be ideal.

Improvements on schedule

This is our revised production schedule, we are planning to film on Mondays in any free time we have. On Tuesday we plan to use the lesson to edit as well as to work on the ancillery tasks. We now know specifically what we are doing:
